Endpoint Protection, New Technologies That Are Replacing/Complementing Traditional Antivirus
Due to the fact that attackers (and malware threats) have evolved, and there are now far too many variants of them for traditional signature-based anti-virus products to keep up, there is a need for new kind of endpoint protection that will be able to cope with the new threats. At the moment, there are two directions where new endpoint protection is heading: advanced threat protection/sandboxing and behaviour analysis. Both of those technologies are proving some advantages over traditional protection technologies, but are they mature for total protection? How can we use those new technologies to improve threat detection rate and to be able to prevent new threats?
